When I'm really tired, I often find I can't sleep. That's bizarre.

I used to wake up about every 15 minutes & scribble on a notepad ALL the urgent things I had to do the next day. I'd be so wiped out I couldn't handle anything. It took some discipline, but I've learned to EMPTY my mind of all adversities before I go to bed, enjoy soft lighting, warm throws, kitty purring under the covers, a good easy read book & lots of goose down pillows & now~NOTHING keeps me awake. (I usually fall asleep with the book under my chin!) It wasn't easy, & I started by saying aloud: NO, I won't think about that, or that, or that, & the sky won't fall, & this is my most peaceful time! It's wonderful.
