I've been doing yoga for a few years but a friend said you shouldnt really do yoga in the first trimester as it's quite powerful and as I am TTC I don't want to risk it, although my body is used to really strenuous poses and stretches so I imagine I'd be OK. I would say I was pretty advanced and am very flexible.
But to be on the safe side I want to buy a DVD specifically aimed at the pregnant woman - for use in early pregnancy or if not, after the 1st trimester.
Also, should I stop doing stomach exercises now jsut in case?

Although I mentioned I am quite advanced, I do actually want simple yoga exercises that are known to be safe in early pregnancy as I'm not sure if the ones I usually do are a bit risky. Thanks.

i'mm ttc for 8 months now, and i'm still quite a novice at yoga but wanted to get a dvd to do in pregnancy. i was advised to get a dvd called 'simple yoga for pregnancy' made by the people from littlegemsyoga.co.uk. i searched amazon and bought it from there. the cover doesn't look great i have to be honest, but the actual dvd seems ok, especially for me as a novice. it may not be advanced enough for you but it is aimed specifically for pregnancy so may be ok.
