The only thing that I would ever skip at Disney, and my kids are 11 and 7 years old, is Mission Space in Epcot. It is a pretty wild ride, and I have seen people get off the ride pretty sick. My sister rode it and said that she had a hard time, so we avoid that ride. However, DO NOT avoid Epcot all together. Test track is a must for your kids, as is the Living Seas attraction with the Finding Nemo ride and talking to Crush, the turtle from Nemo. Soarin' is also a fun ride, and to my kids no trip is complete without a ride in the "giant golf ball" Spaceship Earth. The tour of the countries is a little on the boring side for the kids, however they may like sampling the different foods from around the world. My son is a really picky eater, but he is looking forward to that part of Epcot. As for the other parks, I would recommend any ride and attraction. If you are worried about them, pick up the Birnbaum's guide to Disney. There are complete descriptions of every ride, and even an idea of what age kids can ride it. There are a ton of guide books out there, we have found that Birnbaum's works best for us. Also, there is a Birnbaum's guide to Disney for kids by kids. Let your kids help decide what you want to see and what to avoid. That helps get the whole family excited about going, not that you need to!

Have a great trip!

I have 8 and 9-year old sons. They rode every ride in all four parks (including Dinosaur) and loved them all. Disney is not about scaring anyone so bad they have nightmares. Remember, this place is dedicated to families.

If you are going to skip anything, stay away from the small kids rides in Magic Kingdom--Dumbo the Flying Elephant (longest wait for any ride), any of the rides in Mickey's Toontown, & Aladdin's Flying Carpets. I'd tell you to skip It's a Small World but it's worth riding once. Besides, the lines for it are usually a fairly short wait.

I can think of no ride you'd want to skip in EPCOT, MGM, or Animal Kingdom... try to ride them all.

Kinda a tough call. 8-10 year olds are pretty much the core audience of a lot of disney attractions and there's at least one or two "can't miss" rides in every park for them. One place I might skip is the world paviliion at Epcot. All the rides they are likely to remember are up front in tomorrow land. Test Track, Mission Space, Soarin, are all great attractions that shouldn't be missed.

I wouldn't go to Epcot with them either, while there are some cool things for adults, an 8 and a ten year old wouldn't have much fun. The Animal Kingdom is great, I totally recommend the Safari ride. Also go to "Its tough being a bug" inside of the tree of life. Its 4-D and really fun. I think I've gone on it about a thousand times. MGM is good for shows and a couple of cool rides like the Tower of Terror and the Rockin Roller Coaster. Magic Kingdom has its own great rides as well. Overall, I think MGM and the Animal Kingdom are the best for this age group.

I can't think of ANYthing you should skip!! Perhaps the Dinosaur ride in Animal Kingdom, but only if your children frighten easily. But definitely go to the Dinoland, USA area.

Actually, take your cue from the kids, if they seem like they wouldn't like something, or be frightened, don't force them to ride. However, don't just pass up a ride because of the way it looks. On my first trip, we did this (oh, that looks dumb) and we ended up missing out. On our next trip, we decided to check out EVERYTHING we could, and found out some of the things we passed up were really a lot of fun.

There is only 1 thing that I am really not fond of- the Hall of Presidents. It can be interesting to see the audio-animatronics work, and can be educational, but I find that once I sit down in that theatre, I tend to doze off. Maybe I just hit it at the wrong time of day. lol

Have a great time!

Skip? I wouldn't skip anything it's Disney! Everything there is great. I love everything there. The only thing i can really think of to skip would be the show that is shown after the ride in Norway, at Epcot....that is if they still show it. I know for sure this would bore your kids to death. Other then that see as much as you can!!!!

I would skip some if the attractions at magic kingdom. A lot of magic kingdom is geared to younger children. At least my seven year old daughter thought so. We got a map from the disney website and planned the attractions to we wanted to see there! Epcot, animal kingdom, and MGM were great for this ag group!

I would skip Epcot. It's fun and all, but there are mostly attractions and shoppes more than rides. I like it, but two young kids wouldn't like it that much because they'd want to go on cool rides. So try to stay away from Epcot. I reccomend MGM. There are a lot of cool things to do there.

Dinasaur at Animal Kingdom is scary. They'll have nightmares over that. I can't think of anything else that would be bad for them though!
Have a great time!
