For solving these types of problems you basically want to play with both sides until you get what you need.
Just be sure to do the same thing to both sides of the equal sign.

-2x - 2y = -3

First to get rid of the -2x

-2x - 2y + 2x = -3 + 2x
the -2x and 2x cancel each other out on the left side so you get

-2y = -3+2x
now to get rid of the 2

1/2 * -2y = 1/2 * (-3 + 2x)

when you multiply -2y with the one half it becomes

-y = 1/2 * (-3 + 2x)

we can re-write it as

-y = (-3+2x)/2

now to ret rid of the negative

(-1) * -y = (-1) * (-3+2x)/2

so you end up with

y = -(-3 + 2x) / 2

if you distribute the - to the guys inside (-3 + 2x) you get

y = (3 - 2x)/2

or

y = 3/2 - x

someone check my math! heh

I can not do it for you, hope this helps:

Add 2x to both sides, then divide by -2 ... this should get you started.

by not moving it to the right side.

if you want to make it + rather than - multiply all values by -1
