You need college (pre-med), 8 years of med school, then an internship, then a residency.

Unless you have tons of money, you also need a scholorship, or a willingess to go deeeeeep into debt to do it.

You can be a doctor for as long as you live if you want. How long you live will depend on your genetics and family history, and how well you take care of yourself.

Here in the State, you need an undergraduate degree (not necessarily pre-med...friends of mine in chemical engineering went on to med school. Another friend was a biology undergrad.)

Then you need to have grades enough to get into med school. Then 4 years of med school. After graduating there, you are a "doctor". So people could call you "Dr. Smith" now.

You do a 1 year internship followed by a multiyear residency (exact length depends on the program you choose). Usually 3+ more years. Once you are done that, you are officially a free person and free to practice.
