I was deleting alot of old components and programs from my computer and since I'm not the greatest at computers , I might have erased something I needed . When I finished , I noticed my sound was gone even though the speakers were clearly on ?
Any ideas ??

restart the computer. If it's win XP it should detect the soundcard and self-install the drivers. Else use system restore. Otherwise, you'll need to find the drivers for the soundcard (CD that came with comp, or download.) - PM me if u need more help. thunderbird_ii_uk

you should first make sure that the sound is not Mute from the system tray, you should see a small speaker in the system tray, double click it and make sure that in playback mode the master volume and wave volume bars don't have "Mute" checked underneath them. if you don't see a speaker there, go to start > all programs > accessories > entertainment > volume control and then do what i said earlier.

If everything is in good shape over there, then you might have somehow uninstalled the driver, just get hold of the drivers CD that came with your computer/sound card, stick in the cd drive and install the drivers, restart the pc and everything should work
