The idea that you would do things just because you think you can is not very healthy. You are still under 18. I would check with local laws. The day you turn 18 though, you should move out, get a job while you still know everything.

It depends on you local laws. If there is a curfew you can get in trouble, but not likely. Just remember you have a long life ahead of you and one day you will realize this is very childish. If you are almost 18 then you can respect your parents for a little longer. When you are finally on your own you will be going to your parents occasionally and understand it is not all that bad. Be careful and good luck.

not to mention there may be charges leveled at your parents for allowing a underage person to roam the streets at night. there is enough time in the day to associate with friends than to risk getting into trouble. even though you may be a good kid the cops
when they pick you up have no way of being able to tell that and will collectively pick you all up then sort it out later where you will be so grounded you may not even see the light of day until you are 18. just be patient, good things do come to those that wait, and only no good comes from those wishing to push the limits.
good luck and please enjoy your youth while you still have it.

In Missouri, if you are 17, there is no curfew, so you couldn't get arrested for sneaking out.

BUT, you live at home and you are sponging off of Mom and Dad. If you break their rules often enough, you will get that independent feeling that comes with being thrown out of their house and forced to live on your own and pay your own way.

You want to be a grown-up?

Move out. Otherwise, listen to your parents, and stop being a spoiled brat.

Depends on what your parents will want to happen to you. They are in charge and call the shots because you are underage. If they want you to go to juvenile lockdown, it can happen. This is no time to begin to get belligerent and start causing your parents problems. You are close to graduation. How about acting like the adult that you are close to becoming. Show mom and dad some respect and love for everything they have done for you. Have respect for yourself, and you will not be sorry you did.

Even though you are almost 18, that still means that you are underage and thus under your parents' supervision. I don't know of the specifics, but I know there can be repercussions. However, your mind seems made up anyways, so....no real point in the question.

Almost 18 doesn't cut it kid. What you do on your own time is not the issue. You have disobeyed your parents. You deserve to be punished. Sure, you ain't no kid no more, but that is not the issue. You can do what you want to do when you have your own job, can buy your own food, have your own apartment. But as long as you are living at home, you have to go by home rules.

I hate to say it, but if your under 18 you need to live by their rules. I think this would benefit you in the future. If you respect them and their rules, they'll have more respect for you. Like you said you're almost 18, you won't have much longer to wait.

Besides bust you for a curfew violation--not really. There's gotta be a more respectful way to handle your dilemma--why not agree to phone in your locations periodically or something like that?

Talk to your parents. At your age you should be more in control of your life. But this sneaking out really does not seem very mature.
