First off, wake up call, you're not gonna make a living as a poetry writer. There's just no market out there. The poets that do sell are sitting atop a pyramid scheme that is rooted in university tenure for professor poets and phony contests where they congratulate each other for mediocre work. Second, you can try sending your work to magazines and webzines, but you won't be paying any bills with that.

Well you could try getting them published as a book. You should send the poems to only one publishing company at a time and wait for their response. I'm not 100% sure that's all you have to do, you're gonna have to type them neatly and stuff. I suggest doing more research. (I know a lot of this because my English teacher wants some of us to get published) Some publishing places are free others you'll have to pay for. (I hear the pay for ones are sort of expensive, but like I said I don't know that much

Making a site with some of your poems would be nice, you could put links everywhere. BUT you'd have to make sure to tell people you want credit for your work some people copy and paste and don't really care.

do not send your poems to poetry.com!!! they are a huge scam! (this site talks about them and there are many other sites out there that do too. http://poetrynotcom.tripod.com/) search the web for publishers, there are lost out there that will publish your stuff. you'll have to pay for it though.
