Hi Shelly... you don't say how old you are but I am offering a little advice. Check with your local high school and ask the Guidance Department for a high school student. My son tutored when he was a Junior and Senior, for free, as part of his Community Service Hours that he needed to be in National Honor Society. Some of the people he tutored bought him nice little gifts (gift certificates for Blockbuster and Starbucks etc) but were not allowed to pay him. It was nice that it took place at the High School, so you don't feel weird in a stranger's house... and if you have ever checked the price of one of those Sylvan Learning Centers you'd go broke quick!
