Not at all. I think that putting Barrack Obama in charge would show the muslim community that the vast majority of citizens in the United States are not brain dead - like our current president - and that we do truly care about the state of our country and the state of affairs in the middle east.

What better way to repair the problems created by our current inept leader than to put someone in power who has experience with the muslim culture?

Honestly, we're not ever going to fix things over there. But the withdrawal of our boys from that sand pit might go a lot smoother if we put someone in power who is capable of communicating with the different leaders of that region. God knows some in-bred white boy from Texas sure as hell ain't the right guy for the job.

Time to get the rednecks out of office and put someone in there with some eloquence if nothing else.

No, any adult who isn't a moron knows they aren't the same person. And if they choose not to vote for someone because of their name then they shouldn't be allowed to vote. You should vote based on issues, and who will make the better leader, not someone's name. That's how we got stuck with Bush for a second time. And he's not doing a very good job and we're losing more troops every day.

It's his name, so what?

What if it was spelled O'Bama? Oh my gosh, he's Irish, Ooooo!

Get over it. Obama is going to be around for a long time either as a Senator or, hopefully, President!

His name is just a name.....doesn't mean anything about who he is and what he stands for or what he may bring to the table.

You mean like it's so close to Osama?
Well, never thought of that...he seems like a good guy, though. I see no reason NOT to vote for him.
