I have been on birth control for 5 yrs now. I recently just swithed birth control pills. i am a week and a half into the pack and am having cramps and my breast hurt. I don't think I can be pregnant I am sure its possible but I have had sex once since starting the new pack but i just don't think I am pregnant. I was just wondering if maybe its a side effect or if its stress I have been extremely stressed because of work and of course boy problems lol.

YES!!! it's awful. I recently switched pills. By the time your next cycle rolls around you should be adjusted.

birth control pills ward off being pregnant by quite a few mechanisms, highly by preventing ovulation. If no egg is launched, there is no longer something to be fertilized by sperm, and the female won't be able to get pregnant. maximum birth control pills comprise man made varieties of two woman hormones: estrogen and progesterone. those man made hormones stabilize a lady's organic hormone stages, and avert estrogen from peaking mid-cycle. with out the estrogen bump, the pituitary gland does no longer launch different hormones that typically reason the ovaries to launch mature eggs.
