Aright. I am about one week past POSSIBLE conception, and my period isn't due until March 10, or another 8 to 9 days. If I am in fact pregnant, should I take a test (I plan to use free response) soon (since implantation could have occured) or should I wait until I am due for my period?

Also, if i AM pregnant, could I be feeling any signs this early, if implantation could have occurred earlier than typical? I've been having an occasional metallic taste in the mouth and sudden allergies to cat dander (at least i'm SUSPECTING it's cat dander). I know it is early in pregnancy but would I be feeling anything? Are there any hormone levels that change after fertilization but BEFORE implantation? Or could i have had implanntation early? Sorry for the load of questions, but if you could answer as many as possible , thank's a bunch!

Wait until you get your period. If you miss it, wait another week. If you ARE pregnant, you won't be feeling symptoms for quite a while. Right now you're at a high risk for miscarriage.

Although the hormone levels are slightly different, it's not enough to cause major problems. For example, morning sickness won't come into play for at least 2 more weeks. Even then it may taken another 2 weeks for it to be aparent.

The best way is to just wait. If you aren't careful, you'll take PMS symptoms as a pregnancy symptom. Also, late periods are usually early EARLY miscarriages. You may not even know!

Usually you won't even notice if you have a miscarriage within the first few weeks. You'll just have a late period and slightly heavier blood flow. Many women will take the test, possibly get the positive test result, and then get their period. Pregnancy isn't easy, especially in the first trimester. My doctor has always recommended waiting until the 7th week after the last period to make an OB appointment. Miscarriages aren't rare. So many women have gotten ahead of themselves, picked out names, started painting rooms, when...they lose the baby.

I've had two miscarriages and two pregnancies (pregnant right now--15 weeks). I know it's hard to do, but don't let yourself get too excited JUST yet. It's REALLY hard. Our doctor said to wait until 10 weeks to start telling people, just in case.

Good luck though. Women everywhere know how hard it can be to wait until you miss your period!

If you test now you will almost certainly get a negative. It's just too early. Implantation takes place 6-12 days after ovulation and then it takes an additional 2-3 days for the hcg to build up enough to be excreeted in your urine. Also, I've never heard of Free Response--do you live in the US?

Wait 5 or 6 more days.
Probably not.
I get that metallic taste at random (and I'm a guy)
A huge front just crossed the country and kicked up any number of allergens.
Probably not.
Yes.
Yes.
It's normal to be anxious. Pregnancy is huge. It won't be long and you'll know. Try to relax and enjoy.

Relax...you wouldn't be feeling any symptoms at all...just wait till your perios is due and test then. Teh first response test is only 65% accurate 4 days early...so save yourself some money and test when your period is due.
