The new deal at the time probley was a good idea. The country was deep into a depression. With the WPA and the new deal, helped to shorten the depression. But, as any other government program. It became larger than that considered at the time. It grew into the "entitlement" programs We have now. That takes up a large part of the tax dollars collected today. The problem is government dose not produce anything with the any tax dollars collected. Its shuffling around monies, that doesn't create anything. Other than a larger bureaucracy that sucks even more money from the economy.

Money left in the private sector, less bureaucracy. Creates more jobs than any government program can ever achieve. Helps more people to work and sustain themselves and families. With out depending on a government handout.

Why don't you discuss it in the relation to the Republican $3 1/2 Trillion addition to the National defict! The new deal wouldn't be a blip on the radar screen!

I think the National Debt during Roosevelt was 250 Billion!

right here is the information.....Bush's invoice replaced into pushed into congress searching for an instantaneous tax payer bail out of approx. seven-hundred billion money. The rubber stamp congress replaced into damned close to waiting to shove it down our throats while, thank God, the republicans squashed it. on the instant, they are debating a invoice in accordance with insuring those poisonous loans quite than out stunning paying for them with regulations on golden parachute windfalls and insane CEO salaries - and, with any luck, it rather is the invoice which will finally bypass. regrettably, with the intention to keep away from an entire financial fall down, we could desire to consistently shop the rats alongside with the best people. in my view, i'm searching for self sufficient investigations, strict oversight and a few indictments. it fairly is actual disgraceful to video demonstrate those airborne dirt and dirt bags slither off into the shadows with their wallet packed with tens of millions of greenbacks mutually as user-friendly Joe Citizen has to %. up the tab.

Forget about New Deal. What about Pres. Bush and his "big government conservatism"?
