I'm planning on taking it in the fall at my local community college and I'm just wondering how it is.

I've been a medical transcriptionist for 19 years. The classes were hard because there's so much to remember, but VERY interesting. I make a more than adequate living. Medical transcription has been good to me.

TIP: Concentrate very hard on the terminology and the root word/prefix/suffix application...that will be the basis for most of your transcription.

yes and it was challenging basically because you have so many different accents and dialects along with the fact that they speak so fast you have to really concentrate until you get used to it so be prepared
