I, hopefully, will be starting a charity function this summer. Any Ideas? What would you have fun spending money at? Any suggestions will help. By the way this is in a small city with less than 100,000 people.

Thank you.

People love to gamble and win, especially if they're giving
it to charity. They get the double satisfaction of winning
and giving. Set up a roulette wheel (you can rent this) a
few poker tables, Blackjack, etc. and create a glamorous
Las Vegas atmosphere with fairy lights for curtains, pulled
back, no host bar where the profits will go to charity, and
have everyone dress in formal wear (guys can wear jeans
but have to wear a tux-like jacket. You can solicit great
give-aways (like a trip for two to Vegas) by giving everyone
a number that they can put into a large bowl that you can
mirror or festoon with faux jewels. The ideas for invitations
are limitless...how about one in the shape of a roulette
wheel? Have fun.

How about charity Karaoke? For every X dollars one donates they get to either sing a song or pick someone else out to sing one.

Charity text message raffle? People pay x dollars to have their phone number entered in the raffle, someone picks the winning number(s) out of a hat, that number is called and the owner of the phone brings the text message to the stage to collect the prize.

Charity chat room raffle? Same as above, but people log into a chat room for a fee, and winner is picked randomly.

Charity cell phone photo raffle? Same as above.

Charity photo raffle? To enter the raffle people have to email in their photos they've taken of the city. Each entry costs X dollars. Best representation of the city (as chosen by a panel of judges) wins.

Just a few ideas. Hope you get the job!
