How dare your parents be mad at you for giving up a sin like sex before marriage as a tribute to God. Makes no sense to me at all why this would bother them. Of course your supposed to give up something you enjoy that isn't a sin but they are being completely unfair. 16 year old's are the perfect candidate for sex. They can pay for all their own bills including the babies they are going to have before they graduate high school and have a job that pays more then minimum wage. Not to mention the maturity level of 16 year olds who know everything is through the roof. Why don't you try giving up TV for lent and stop having sex because your not ready to be having sex and because its a sin?

to the person above me...condoms DO protect against AIDS....dont give people misinformation.
If you want to give up sex for lent, then do it, I understand that can be hard. Sex is a wonderful thing, and if YOU are ready to have sex than you should. Dont believe those white lies that people tell you, god doesnt love you any less for having sex. Anyone who does love you will respect your decisions, not necessarily agree with them. Make sure that you are being careful when having sex, use birth control, condoms, and things like that. If you have trouble obtaining these things then you can go to Planned Parenthood. They will also give you pregnancy tests and STI tests (STD)
Have your partner do the same, and if you change partners, have your new partner take tests before you ingage in any sexual activities. If you need any more questions regarding sex, or sexual health feel free to email me.

The word is SEX...if you can't spell it without adding a period between the e and the x then you're too young to have sex to begin with.

your parents are probably mad because you are only 16 and your parents probably feel that you shouldn't be having sex anyway... cut your parents some slack.... give something else up

Are you married? If not why are you having sex. If you believe in Christ, go to prayer and when you think you have an answer, compare it to his teachings, then make your own choice. By the way, AIDs virus is not stopped by condums.
