you just realized that you don't really like farming that much. and because you moved, you got used to the city pretty quick and starting to realize that the farm isn't really your calling.

Many people who grow up in an extreme situation, such as a life around nothing but farming, want to life the opposite life style when they are out on their own. You are normal, I think you should go live your life away from the farm for a while, I am sure that as you get a life that is far away from your life growing up you will eventually find that you can go back and visit with great fondness for the simplicity that the farm has to offer.
It is true that the distance makes the heart grow fonder.

I don;t think what you hate so much is farming; I think what you are rebelling agianst might be freedom to chose your own craft; be a painter, a writer...yada. Purhaps when your were away it was great, REAL GREAT and you had a fantastic time.
In the early 1970's I went away for a few years in the Marines; I learned to Love coming home as the environment I was in overseas was bad, as I saw it. What 's happening to you is perspective; you had it great and now you, maybe, maybe see yourself as "going back to normal>>>"
Dads can be a pain as they see their kids growing up like them and sometimes want thier lives to be alike; it will pass. Try not to be to separate from your parents as they want the best for you; maybe your angry now as changes came fast and your "back on the farm" after seeing some of the other parts of the world.....been there too.. Hang tight, you going to move on someday and Farming is temporary.....oh, an inspirational movie......the Astronuat Farmer! Farmers are not limited and nor are they stupid..:) your 20, you have it all ahead of you so pick and chose and follow your parents advice.

Ya that sounds normal. You see, you have grown up around farms. You see them every day! So, you moved away and grew used to suburbs/city. When you came back to the farm, you realized how sick of it you are an always have been. Sounds depressing, but it's true. But you'll always hae a special place in your heart for farms and the people there you grew up with.

People change, some can adapt to new environment and cannot return to the old, some can't

It is like, if you are once poor, and become rich, being poor again may be a shock to you.

However, if you are a open minded person, you can fit into any situation. In your case, you probably have some sort of proud ego or issues about things that are around you. You hated it the life of farm because you feel like this is "OLD" life. Many immigrants from other countries will not be able to fit into their old style again due to new adapted life style in America or what they call "freedom"

In your case, it is similar. So, I say it is normal .

Nothings wrong with you, you seem as if you just can't stand being over at that specific place because you've just been over there soo much before doing those farming things. But you other people, DON'T HATE FARMING and think it's non-important because if there was no farmers anymore then you all would starve to death and die, THINK ABOUT IT!

Yes. moving away fulfilled a psychological desire for individuality. If you saw, did, or felt something you really liked when you moved out, and are aware you can't feel that on the farm, your brain will want you to stay wherever you can continue in that behavioral pattern.

In short, yes.

you hate the farm. After you have experienced something new the farm just doesn't cut it anymore. There's nothing wrong with you. Find something else to do with your life. Your dad might be disappointed but that's about it.

Nothing is wrong with you. You have viewed life from another angle, and like it better. "How You Gonna Keep 'Em Down on the Farm, After They Seen Paree." Popular song after WWI
