In your opinion, what is "a balanced productive adult member of society"?

Someone who works or otherwise contributes to the material benefit of society, has varied interests (mental and physical), enjoys himself/herself and is fun for others to be with. And someone who faces life with a sense of humor, and who tries to give as much as he/she gets. Rabbi Hillel's formulation of the Golden Rule is a good guide to the ethical balance that is implicit in a balanced adult member of society: Do not do to others that which you, yourself, find hateful.
