I'm white, but my question comes from this article: http://www.blackvoicenews.com/content/view/40464/4/. I work with a videogame company which is trying to come up with some fresh ideas for the industry.
My intent for this question is to get a perspective of anyone who is part of a so-called "minority" population (African-American, American Indian, Latino, Asian, etc.) on what they like about representation of themselves in videogames and what they'd like to see fixed, or done better. Feel free to reference any existing games or heroes.
(Note: This question is intended respectfully and any racist remarks will be reported immediately...)

The article discusses existing games (like Carl Johnson in GTA) providing poor role models for "the kids." Specific examples of games that get it right (or wrong) would be helpful. For instance, the writing in GTA sounded pretty stereotypical to me, but I'd like another perspective.
