Depends upon the web site - could be 3 months could be several times a day. The more often the site changes and the more important to google it is - the more it gets updated.

Depends on the quality and traffic of the website. More popular sites get updated daily, other sites might be as much as 30 days.

If you have a meta tag its the days in it. No meta tag once per month. meta tags call the robots to return. Look at the source code for a meta tag description by going to site and right click mouse select view source. Look at the meta tags about robots.
