i like to recycle, even if i dont get paid for it in cash at least im not paying to take it to the landfill, and its a good deed. I also like to grab a couple magazines or books out of the recycle pile, and you wouldnt believe the stuff some people throw away, usually in the wrong bin, but ive found tape measures, knives, tools, etc etc.

Yes I do, paper, plastic, cardboard, glass, cans, clothes, old furniture, wood and the stuff from my garden goes on the compost heap.

I recycle most things we can even now recycle our uneaten food with our compost. The only time i don't is when the recycling bins are full as they only collect every other week

definitely... um... i've just been managing the marketing campaign for a london local authority... and the behind the scenes figures are staggering... there's 14 london borough's.... and the one i worked for had about 250,000 people living there.... and they create 14,000,000 tonnes of waste every year.... i kid you not!
some of its burnt, and some of it is put into landfill.. there's regulations about how much... but i can totally understand why they want to promote recycling... afterall, those figures are year in, year out... the objective of the overall campaign is to try and get people to recycle 20% of their waste...
but the 14,000,000 tonnes of waste figure really makes me feel guilty when i put anything into my wheely bin that shouldn't be there... i mean, we aren't a big country... where does it all go?

my mum washes all the cans and takes the labels off. she is so obsessive about recycling. if we put a sweet wrapper in the blue bin she goes ape

yes..different coloured bags for different items.. the ones we fill up the quickest though are the cans and glass bottles...any left over food we put on the compost heap.. my family are very good at recycling..

Kind of, but if we've got more recycling stuff than will fit in the blue box the council gave us, they won't take it away!
