Paypal and promotional code?

How can a buyer redeem a promotional code if the seller uses paypal? How will the site recognize a promotional code that will result in a discount? Thanks for any specifics.

The Paypal screen has a "redeem cupon" function.

I think when the seller operates PayPal, They put down certain promotion codes for customer purpose.

You may or not be elgible for promotion code and they usually come after you purchase things from eBay.
