There is a program called GameMaker that you can make any type of game easily. There is an unregistered version for free, but you can register for $20 (US). Go to gamemaker.nl

Whew, talk about a blast from the past. I know a few sites that have games like that, but none for creating them.

Hmmmm, if I were doing something like that I would hit up the local dungeons and dragons groups first. You can find them at hobby shops or comic book stores. Try the proprietors of the comic shops as well. Lots of them are old school geeks from back when. They might be able to provide you with some more guidance. These old school geeks will remember what you're talking about and might be able to help you. (Granted this is a pretty hit or miss tactic.)

if you want to do something like that i think you should try to figure out how to use Bronze TV, its a program that can make almost anything, all you need is to know some programming skills (get into a good college) and your all set! hope that helped you!
