what to do with my (i think) friendless brother?

Hello, i have a 12 yr old brother, he is a very good kid but the only thing that bothers me is that he is kinda shy; im shy too, but he looks he is twice as much, because he never goes out and normally he stay inside and draws, my fam tells me to do soomething with him, but im not that close with my bro, i just go blank everytime i to think of something, i wasnt like that when i was his age, is just now that i have this shyness, but i think my shyness had rubbed into him.

Maybe go play mini golf, bowling or skating with him - somewhere where the 2 of you can be Bros among other people so he can see how other families are together. Go to an art gallery or take drawing classes together.

Maybe he just doesn't know that its OK to be however he is... and it really is ya know- he might be a genius or something and is just sorting it all out in his brain.

Even just being around him while you are both focused on something else will give him the opportunity to ask any questions that a younger Bro might ask an older Bro.

Mostly - just enjoy each others company and tell him that you think he is cool. Your approval of him "just the way he is" will be his biggest confidence booster.

And the "Noogie" his head - ie drive your knuckles into his head "gently".

You have the opportunity to have an awesome lifelong relationship and friendship with your Bro. He wont be young forever - there is room for you both to be each others "ear" as you grow into men and have families of your own. A friendship like you will have with no one else on this entire planet. Find out about your brother, what does He like what does he think.

Be his friend dispite the awkwardness. Just be quiet together. After some time together I'll bet you two will think of something you two would like to do together.
