oh, I am not asking for myself...I am online at my own place...I was asking for those who make judgements on everyone else! I don't judge I was just asking!

Technically it can be labled as stealing, or using coporate resources for personal use. It depends on your company's policy however if they can do anything about it.
My comapny has not internet usage policy so all i am doing is getting paid to be on the interenet at the moment.

Both are stealing. One is stealing of company property. The other is stealing company time. Would you like it if someone you paid to perform a task in your home like cleaning or repairs instead sat on your couch all day watching soap opera's? No, you'd feel they were ripping you off.
Most employers know that an employee will do a bit of surfing & look the other way as long as the employee is getting their job done. Though, if your spending ton's of time at it - don't be surprised if your employer suddenly starts dumping more work on your desk. If you have that much free time........

Stealing is taking something that is not yours. So yes, you are stealing office supplies. And yes, you are stealing time from your employer. But hey, everyone has different ethical views. Just ask yourself, what would your employer do if they caught you doing this??? I know, others may be doing the same thing, but they may soon decide to make an example of someone. Better hope it's not you!

It is called wasting company's money. You are on a payroll. When they hired you, you are suppose to perform that job whatever it entails. However, only when it is break time if your company (isn't strict) allows you to check emails or on Yahoo answers. Google is the normal search engine at most businesses.

If you are on yahoo at work, and your boss is standing right behind you while you are on,and doesnt seem concerned, you have nothing to worry about. You know rather you are doing the right thing or not.

Technically you are stealing your employers time...they are paying you to work and you aren't doing what you are being paid to do...
