Why not listen to the voice of experience here who will not insult you and actually offer you some good advise.
The Eclipse is a good base for some great performance items from mild to wild.
Start out with an low restriction air intake system. Adds about 10-15% power for under $200.00
Then add a performance CAT back exhaust system for about $350.00. Good for another 10-15% increase.
Now go for the performance chip upgrade to the computer. With all three you can expect 30-50% increase and you will have spent well under a grand to get a good kick in the pants.
A turbo system will even kick it up higher, but you will be spending some big bucks for it. Figure $1000 to 1500. Want to go for the gusto, NOX kit. About 6 bills, adds 125 HP for short bursts.
Go to Summit Racing and get all the details.

you could try installing a limited slip into you your trans axle this will help with your acceleration off corners and off the line if you want more power from your motor, you could port and polish the heads, install bigger injectors, aftermarket parts, headers or header and a performance exhaust, bigger throttle body, for the transmission you can have a shift kit installed for your transmission(if you have an automatic) or have your manual gearbox rebuilt with different gears and a racing clutch the clutch will grab alot better than a standard clutch, also, a body kit will help with aerodynamics of your car just all depends what you want to do and how much cash your looking to spend jc whitney has a sport compact catalog that has a really good selection of performance parts hope this will help

Sell it and buy a SVT product. How is your budget???? YOu could just buy a turbo kit for it and skip all the intake and exhaust **** that isn't going to do nothing but make noise.
