I need to know whatr to do i have this aorwnan whos 10 inches in a 40 in tank he keeps freekin out flipin around the tank alot alot alot more then he useually does its scry bcause he isnt being normal arowana i know

Have you added any new fish lately? Sometimes a new addition will upset a fish especially one who is established and is territorial like an arrowana. If you haven't added a new fish check to make sure the water tank is thee correct temperature and Ph. and that the fish hasn't developed a fungus. Good Luck.

First off, how is your water quality? Many times when ammonia spike this causes the fish's gills to "Burn". More or less making them freak out. Check the water quality. Chances are this is your main problem. If you do not have a test kit, get one or take your water in for testing.
If you suspect the ammonia is high do an immediate 25% water change to lessen the ppm on the ammonia.
How long has your tank been up and running?

The tank is too small. See if you can't give him away. This is why people should not be legally allowed to keep large fish in the home aquarium, they simply have no clue as to what they are doing.

he is normal the tank is to small you need at leaset 125g tank for an arowana you could also weigh down the lid

He want to come out and have a stretch...he is too cramped..get a bigger tank..i have a 3ft snake in a 6ft tank but he comes out alot!!

let the doctor check it out. but i guess maybe he's just hungry or something like that. but really be careful arwanas are very dangerous.
