I've worked with quite a few tv weathermen, and only a few were jerks. As to how they come off on TV, most people consider weather boring, and they try to at least make it entertaining, and besides, how many other jobs are there where you are asked to predict the future?

They think their future is in the "David Letterman's show" or the "weatherman's Show". I agree with you, they all seems to have an attitude.

Because they only think they know it all when in reality they hope their best guess will turn out to be right.
