On The Inside
No one knows the pain on the inside.
No one can see the pain people hide.
The fears, the tears, the yells and the whines,
no one knows what all people hide.
Behind the flesh, between the bone, it's
all the pain that remains unknown.
On the outside, they show no pain, they act, look, talk and dress the same.
But on the inside they hurt and cry.
They don't have the courage to tell you why, tears just come and fall out of their eyes.
I wrote this my sophomore year in high school. My parents had recently separated and were going to get a divorce. I believe that everyone in the world can relate to this poem! What do you think?
And yes I really wrote it, go to www.poetry.com
