Okay I have a role in this school musicl on March 15th and 16th. I'm a low tenor and I have the role of (i'm guessing) a high tenor. I need to be able to hit a High C with no trouble at all my choir director said. Except I can only hit it in my Falsetto and (i must admit) it sounds GRUESOME. My sister and brother can sing in their falsetto (both older than me) and it sounds great - but mine is horrible. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to sing in my Falsetto and make it sound like it's belting - or make it sound like it's not bad? *OTHER INFO.* My highest belting note is a Middle A.

I'm 17 and I'm not really professionaly trained or trained at all. My sister and brother are both extremly well-expirienced. And a couple days ago when I practiced a little my highest belting note was a high B and my chior teacher says I hit a high D but I doubt it because I hit the same note agian at home and it was a high B. So I'm going to practice at 7 Tonight so I'll try to use my falsetto with support and my diaphragm I just have a question: What kind of support?

The secret is in the support. You've got to have adequate air and support to hit those high notes. Keep practicing and good luck or, should I say, "break a leg"!!

Sounds to me like someone casted you in the wrong vocal part... a solid A is not a high tenor range. You'll strain your voice (and possibly loose it before the performance) if you continue to try and "belt out" notes that are outside your optimum range. What show are you doing? Is it possible for you to just support the high C with a good breath and not belt it and have the same dramatic effect? Everyone's voice has limitations. If you over do it you'll damage it..

How old are you? You may find that it is imply out of reach at the moment due to your age. What is the part?

Some of the others are right support is what you need from the diaphragm, and knowing in yourself that you can do it.

Sounds to me though that you are a high baritone rather than a tenor.
