I have to write a paper for my college class "Modern Social Problems" My paper will be on multicultural education. My profesor is unapproachable and justs tells us to look in the syllabus to see how to do the paper. We must include our theoretical point of departure and I'm not sure what that is for multicultural educaion or what it means in general?

Did you take Intro Soc? Find an Intro text. At the beginning there'll be a discussion of functionalism and conflict theory. Those are the competing points of departure for analyses of social problems. You wind up with different conclusions depending on which one you start with.
