They should wear mouthpieces i totally agree with you and then again some of them want to look cool and say o i lost this tooth playing hockey..its all about the hardwork that they put into loosing that tooth just for the game of hockey. BUT then again they should wear mouthpieces to be more protective...

Well some players do wear mouthpieces, though they're usually invisible. For example, James Wisniewski of the Blackhawks and Maxime Talbot of the Penguins wear mouthpieces.
Some NHL players do wear visors and yes, I agree, the dudes with missing teeth do look like fools. As for facemasks, well players usually wear them when they are just coming back from an injury near the head area.

They do wear mouthguards, and a lot of the European players wear visors, etc. They say it's because they can't see out of the facemasks and that sticks can get caught up in the visor by accident. Oh well, as long as they have good dentist the tough hacked up face thing is kinda hott.

most of the players do wear mouth pieces,if you watch alot of them like chris drury they chew on them like gum. i know the team must spend alot of money on mouth pieces. i have never seen a guy on the ice without one.they remove them when they come off the ice and place them on their helmet(watch them).as far as visors go you hardly saw one on a player until the past couple of years, there have been so many eye injuries that alot of the players are electing to wear them now.i heard they were going to be mandatory in the next year or two.take a puck in the mouth and not loose some teeth and then come back and tell everyone how you did it!!!! the echl hockey players that are missing teeth on the team i was a season ticket holder to had false teeth but didn't wear them in a game(i guess they figured they didn't want to take a chance of breaking them like their real teeth).

The mouthpiece is what they chew on often when play is stopped.
Visors are their choice, though I would like to see a player intelligent enough to wear a full shield.

those without visors or facemakes usually wear a mouth piece. the reason not all players wear a mask or a visor is it messes with your vision.

Most do, the ones who don't don't wear them because it makes it harder to talk and make plays on the fly. The visors inhibit vision to some extent.

Mats Sundin wears a visor and a mouthguard and he is one of the most skilled and durable players in the NHL.

Most do wear mouthguards, but some you can't see very well because they're clear and fitted to the top teeth.
