How do movements such as fundamentalism and feminism help or hinder life plans?

Personally, I think both the philosphies you mention seem to limit it. The Bible says not to go to extremes, these two groups seem to be very extreme.

Any church that is dogmatic(secularism in disguise) can hinder, feminism can hinder, and so can secularism. A personal relationship with God helps one clearly spot unrest.
