If you have two CDs, you can use the harddrive tools to perform an exact copy of your primary drive onto the other drive.

Otherwise, get a copy of Norton Ghost or similar package.

A Windows operating system is copied from one drive to another using Computer Manufacturer Tools or another clone program such as Norton Ghost.

For more information on how to successfully clone a Windows installation and boot a second computer with that drive, please see Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 314828 and Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 216915.

Norton Ghost is excellent but a bit pricy. You can get Copy Commander, PC-Copy or any number of programs that will clone from one drive to another. Most of them will even let you use 2 different sized drives.

You can use special backup software in order to clone your hdd. I'd recommend you True Image by Acronis because it possesses a simple interface and all you need to do is choose a clone option in its backup wizard. But note that both hard drives should have the same interface.

you need to get a programme called drive cloner or CD cloner this programme often comes with another called any DVD.
This has a very simple and easy to use format. you can get a free version of it from download.com and might only be a trial one that might not allow you to do a full drive clone.
But you can get the full version from bearshare or limewire.
