For best results, close all your programs until the Windows Desktop appears.

Then right click on the Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop until its menu appears.

Now left click on the word Properties until the Internet Properties Window opens for you.

Then locate the three buttons entitled: Delete Cookies, Delete Files and Clear History.

Now click on each button and select OK each time Windows asks if you want to delete these files.

Then click on the OK button at the bottom of the screen to exit the Internet Properties window.

Note: The above six step procedure will work for all earlier versions of Windows as long Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher is installed on that system. This is because Internet Explorer 6.0 now includes the new Delete Cookies button and its Delete Files button does a better job of really wiping out all Temporary Internet Files.

In Internet Explorer, go to "tools", click "internet options", then click the "content" tab, then click on the "auto complete" button. Uncheck all the boxes (if you want passwords to be remembered, don't clear that box), hit clear forms (and passwords if you want them cleared as well). Then hit "Ok" on all the boxes that have opened.

If what you're trying to do is clear the form entries you've typed in while surfing with IE, go to Tools/Internet Options.

Click the "Content" tab, then "Auto Complete".

Click the "Clear forms" and "Clear Passwords" buttons, then click "OK" and "OK" again to close out the windows.

Restart your browser and away you go.
