If not, sometimes a jab at the ever-shrinking reset button is needed.
McAfee is worthless anyway, it gives way too many false positives. It's worse than Boston police looking at an LED sign!

the virus scan takes some time , i know been there done it , dont forget it has to search every single file on your pc . If it,s taking that long you must have a hell of a lot of stuff on your comp or it,s just trying to anoy you ( grin and bare it ) or try another day !

take the plug out turn back on after 5 mins.uninstall mcafee its crap,then download AVG its free and its ten times better than mcafee.if you need a good firewall use SYGATE its free aswell.
