If elected Obama says that he would start withdrawing troops in march of next year, so that they may be redeployed to the northern provinces, and to protect the borders, unless the Iraqi government takes over and shows sincere determination to run its own country and keep it secure, or the military Generals determine it would be unsafe to do so. I think it is the better plan out of three candidates for democratic nominations, Edwards just wants to withdraw 20,000 to 40,000 troops and hiliary's policy is still unclear. Obama also voted against legislation to cut funding to troops, showing that he is a democrat not for the policy of cutting and running. Do you think this is a good plan regarding the war in Iraq?

At least Obama has a strategy. Something has to be done. Like FDR did during the depression...try something...if that doesn't work try something else. To just let our troops be targets for maniacs is a sin.

Clinton doesn't have a plan and Bush keeps trying to reinvent the wheel.

Obama is a Christian.

Anyone running for President says that they would pull out troops if elected is just making off the wall statements. Point of fact, Nixion said the same thing, in his 2nd term he had to just quit the war and run, and costing a couple thousands lives in the process of Americans in the process, let alone the loss of life of the Nam people. The same thing would be in Iraq, let alone it shows the rest of the world that if you hit a few people the U.S will run. We can not stand that rep, and then the war will come to the U.S. as in 9/11.

He claims to be Christian, but so doesn't the current president. One can go through the action, but its what is in their heart. God knows the heart!!! You can't fool God!! Time will show if Barack is a true born again Christian or if he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Actions speak louder than words... I think many "so called Christians who voted for the current president ... regrets that vote and will for a long long time... they should be ashamed to throw a vote like that away. Can say, this Christian didn't vote for him... nor will I vote for Barack until he proves he is in fact a true child of God.

His father was from Africa, his mother from America. "I was not raised in a religious household. My maternal grandparents, who hailed from Kansas, had been steeped in Baptist and Methodist teachings as children, but religious faith never really took root in their hearts. My mother's own experiences as a bookish, sensitive child growing up in small towns in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas only reinforced this inherited skepticism. [...] My father was almost entirely absent from my childhood, having been divorced from my mother when I was 2 years old; in any event, although my father had been raised a Muslim, by the time he met my mother he was a confirmed atheist, thinking religion to be so much superstition." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama

His plan will fail in the return of our military forces. Why? Because the man has zero experience dealing with the military and her way of life. Barack Obama's plan would kill most of them on redeployment. This man is too green behind the gills to make it as President of the United States.

Just because he is claiming Christian right now, he comes from a rooted background (father) in the Muslim religion. It is a known fact the majority of the Americans who are from the black ethnic group have and will turn Muslim before its all said and done. I would NOT trust this man. He has already lied if he said that he would move them back home in March of 2008. How could he? He is not in any position to get those men and women home.

Do you people even understand the ways of the military? I think NOT! To think I served this great nation for friggen idiots like some of you... I just shake my head.

Put on a uniform of any of the branches. Get your **** deployed to a war zone. Let's see who you think will get you back home in one piece.

Let's take a vote here... who do you all think will get the military home in one piece?

Yes, Barak's plan for Iraq is not too bad. I prefer a more, "Get the hell out", plan. I think Barak is a possible needed, rare, valuable talent. I'm reading his book, "The Audacity of Hope"...good book. People must be able to get past his name. He is not a Muslim, he is a member of the United Church of Christ.

No. I think that to move the troops around just for aesthetics is wasting time, money resources more importantly lives. Senator Obama has no working knowledge of the military. He does not understand how to lead our military, which is blindingly clear by this plan. He wants to with draw troops for political reasons only with no interest in the consequences here at home.

negative plan. If human beings imagine Iraq is undesirable now, then merely wait until eventually eventually Obama is president. the purely danger of regaining peace there is to have the U.S. win the conflict. we want the biggest surge and shortly. Bush desires to end irritating about his approval score, strengthen some balls and take an organization draw close of that united states. that is the purely thanks to get them to end killing one yet another. that is not okay to allow houndreds of thousands of Iraqis die as a fashion to keep a pair hundred human beings.

If you think any Demoncrat could get elected with any plan other than immediate surrender in the War on Terror then you fail to understand their Constituency. Surrender is all they will accept because they believe America deserved 9-11.

that strategy will fail the terrorist will come and follow us here in America. The question is would you have let the war be in America or take the fight to them my guess he wants the war to be fought in our own back yard.
