I am a cheerleader. I am not pretty I am not fat but not skinny either and I dont have guys googling over me so I know that can't be it. I also am not rich either. Cheerleaders at my school cheer their hearts out for these athletes and we hardly get any thanks. The wrestling coach told us we had to cheer for ever guy that wrestled because if we didnt the fans didnt. I also remember losing my voice at pratically every football game and wrestling match I cheered at(i chose wrestling n not bball). I mean we have friends and we arent really a "group" we all have our own friends and yet no one likes us because we are worthless? Why doesnt that sound fair. I love watching sports and cheering for my school. Its just not fair. So why are people so mean to us?

For no reason except jealousy! Its hard because people just assume cheerleaders are dumb and slutty. I think part of it is the outfits. Those short skirts make people angry.
Just be proud of who you are and enjoy what you're doing. Maybe talk to the wrestling coach and encourage his guys to do something special for you cheerleaders! That would be nice.

People are mean because they are jealous. And to be honest, there are some bitchy, slutty cheerleaders out there who give the rest of us a bad name. Just do what you love, and the ones who really know you will be your friends no matter what.

Most people associate Cheerleaders with the loose girls that do the quarterbacks or the rest of the football team....or party girls that are airheads and get high all the time.....I know its not true but that is the reputation that precedes you...sorry

well alot of cheerleaders are so popular and think they rule the world. but u probably dont. another thing(not saying i hate u)my friend is a cheerleader and she is a b***h

Prejudice based on stereotypes. Extend yourself to them to prove them wrong. Your feelings about this are isolating you, which causes the problem- it's basically a vicious cycle!
