Ants have a small tubular heart located on the dorsal surface just under the exoskeleton. It does not have lungs but has a network of small tubes called trachea running along each side if its body. It does not contain a spleen or a gall bladder. It does have blood but its circulatory system is an open one which lacks true blood vessels.
