i want to rip a dvd movie ( apprx 3 hrs), in avi. It has to be good quality, i tried with auto gk but dont get good quality, may be i need to change the settings. i really dont know anything about ripping dvd's so when i use auto gk, i just leave the default settings.

somebody please help.

Try TubeHunter which can rip DVD clips into other Video/Audio format.

Here's a good combo:
-use DVD Decrypter (search my posts on a guide how to use it)
-then use MediaCoder to decode it to AVI (or MPEG for that matter)

Both programs are easy to use...

DVD Fab Platinum is a great (but expensive) program that will do it all for you

Size, size, size. Rip to 1.4 GB and you'll get better quality.
