Can anyone give me tips as to help me get better grades in school?

As a former bad student in high school, I want to assure you that there is hope. First, you need to tell us more about what habits you think are working against you. For example, are you feeling exhausted all the time? Bored? Hungry? Like you can't focus in class? Like you can't get motivated? Once you identify what's holding you back, sit down with your parents and your teachers and talk it through with them and together you can come up with ways to help you learn. And please remember, there is NO shame in asking for help when you need it.

You've already taken the first step by wanting to change, so kudos to you.
You have to apply yourself in every area. Make more time to study. Do your best to pay attention in class. Try to do your homework assignments ahead of time. Don't halfway do anything. Put your all into it and you should get good results.

study, do ALL of youre hw, and don't doze off in class, like if your teacher is telling you about the Persian War, don't think about what's for dinner or pretty ponies, basically stay focused.
and make sure you behave too b/c that does make a difference
