It's not perfect, but with your wide ranging beliefs this may be the most accurate. I would personally say republican, but leaning liberal socially with some libertarian qualities dabbled in.

You sound Libertarian to me.

See http://www.lp.org/

In a nutshell, they believe in freedom from government, whether its freedom from economic controls (e.g. socialized medicine or welfare) or social/personal controls (e.g., prohibitions on abortion or drug laws). The purpose of government is to protect people, not to clothe, feed, house, nurse, or coerce them into a government-sanctioned moral code.

The fact that you "like the idea of green vehicles and other sources of energy" might disqualify you, but only if you believe the government should sanction or require them or even participate in their development. A true libertarian would object to that kind of interference in the free market.

In UK political terms, you are a Liberal.
Which un-like in America, Liberal is not a derogatory term, it is a genuine Political view.
OK so they have not been in Government since 1920 something, but they do hold a lot of political power at Local level and control a lot of Local Council's and Authority's like Liverpool for instance.

Well, I would say that you are about as Independent as they come.

Personally, I'm a registered republican, but it doesn't dictate how I vote.

You sound more like an Independent or something to that degree.

Um, you're a liberal. Sorry, I know, it sucks. Liberals don't have strong morals, so that's the only hold up I have about your political party.
