I don't know if it's normal but I used to get them alot from working out. The sweat would accumulate on my back and I would get whiteheads and pimples. I wet to a spa though and had a "backcial" done. It's a facial but only on your back, usually done by women who will be wearing a backless outfit and they want to show off a smooth back. What does it entail? Well, they clean your pores, exfoliate all the dead skin, then they pop the pimples just like they do as if your'e getting a facial. They also moistuize and put some antibacterial stuff on there. All I know is that after I went, my back was sooooo smooth and the pimples were gone. You should prepare not to wear anything backless though for a few days cause you will probably have a few scabs since the pimples pop or dry up.

Good luck

Yes, it's normal for women with acne prone skin.

First, a simple way to help the situation is realize that your shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray all can aggravate your skin. At the end of your daily shower, be sure to freshly rinse all the shampoo and conditioner residue off your back. When you spray your hairspray, be sure to already have a shirt on (to cover your back) and shield your face (from the mist) with your free hand.

Second, find an acne treatment that works for you. A dermatologist is a great advocate to help you. Accutane (a pill), Retin-A (a cream), etc. are all available only by prescription.

I have had cystic acne for the past fifteen years. I use Proactiv, and it works great for me ... I tried so many other options through my dermatologist, but Proactiv got rid of the acne and kept my skin soft instead of dry and irritated. It averages out to about $20 per month.

If Proactiv is too expensive for you right now, another option is to pull together some drug store products to help you out. Here's a great website to help you with that ... http://www.acne.org/regimen-supplies.html

Hope this helps ... Good luck!

I used to get lots of pimples on my back too - turns out that I was allergic to the detergents (sodium laureth sulfate) in my body wash and shampoo. When I used normal bar soap, and stopped getting shampoo on my back, they went away.

for the ones on your face:

1. Put a hot rag on it.
2. pop it.
3. put a hot rag on it again.
4. clean it well.
