Definitely Al Gore. I mean, first he invented the internet, then he created global warming. What a guy!

That's two different questions. The most creative person WHO ever lived was not necessarily the one who brought the most benefit to mankind. I would vote for Leonardo DaVinci as the most creative. As for benefitting mankind, that would probably be a scientific researcher whose name most people may not even know. Someone who did the fundamental research that resulted in the development of aspirin, or an antibiotic, or a vaccine of some kind. There are too many such people to single out one.

Nicola Tesla. Had his numerous inventions been allowed to see the light of day, many modern problems, especially those relating to "energy" would be non existant. Needless to say, the psychopaths involved with fossil fuels made sure his work was "buried".

Research him and his work--quite fascinating :)))

In the area of arts and humanities, i'd agree with Frater Perdurabo :)

I'll vote for 3

Michelangelo
Leonardo Da Vinci
Beethoven

Because they all transformed the nature of art and human thought.
