You don't have to dress fancy, just look nice and not like you just crawled outta bed. You will get paid if you come in and they decide they don't need you or you just sit all day. You get paid I think $11 for a half day that covers your time and transportation. Bring magazines, gameboy, crossword puzzles, you will need them to occupy your time. I believe they can see through an act. Besides, the trial might be interesting. If you have a relative that works in the business or has a record, you might be excused.

I had to go about a month ago. You don't have to dress all fancy, they tell you to but you don't have to. Here in California we get paid $48 a day. The amount of time depends on the case, I was only there for one day. If you want to be excused pretend you have a cold, start coughing alot and pretend you're blowing your nose, that's what two people did when I went and the judge told them to leave.

No, you don't have to dress up and you do get paid. Here it is $15 a day. Unless you're actually picked for a jury, you only have to be there the one day....but be prepared to be there ALL day. Take a book or a laptop.

Yes, if you act racist or mental you will not be chosen for jury duty. I highly suggest doing just that.

You signed up for jury duty and you don't even know what it consists of? Well the person on trial is in for a treat.

sit and wait, if your lucky no one will go to trial and you'll go home.
if not then you'll find out what the trial is about, mine was a drunk driving case. I got out of it cause of my beliefs. Cause they were trying to convict a 65 yr. old hippie for drunk driving not more than a mile from the bar he just left which i thought was unfair, to me no different than a road block. Good luck.
I got payed a whopping 10$ for showing up. Each city is different.
