We had some severe thunderstorms, and we were under a tornado warning for awhile. I was checked out by my dad, but I'm really worried about one of my friends. I have no idea whether or not the school is keeping the kids who couldn't get a hold of their parents by phone. She couldn't get a hold of hers because her dad commutes and her mom is a teacher. I'm kinda worried about her, because school would normally have let out by now and she would be home, but she hasn't answered any of my attempts to contact her. What should I do?

I work for a school and we would NEVER let a child leave without a parent or guardian during severe weather or any kind of police activity nearby.
She is probably at the school or with a teacher there.
Just hang in there and try to call her in a little while.
I know you are worried, you are a good friend, but she is probably fine.

chances are she is fine. school building are strong but it depends on what it kind of tornado there is f1 not so much damage maybe some broken windows and a tree knocked down nothing damageing a school.... f2 busting out windows knocking down trees and maybe powerlines.. f3 maybe a roof may be ripped off and a couple of rooves caving in and trees and powerlines mostly down
f4 complete devastation either ripping roofs off and blowing everything down..

f5 complete devastations destroying everything in its path takening away building and wrecking down schools

you said nothing about a tornado accually hitting the ground and wrecking stuff if they just had a tornado warning and there was no tornado but very severe weather she is most likely fine dont worry she is probaly worrying about you!
