I have a friend who couldnt understand why his home got flooded 2 times during the rainy season. I told him,"You live in an area that is called a flood plain. So you are going to get flooded."

Why would I make fun of people because they got hurt? People move to accomodate their dreams and sometimes just make something out of life, they don't move to or away from natural disaster zones. There are earthquakes in Cali, tornadoes in Texas and blizzards up north, but you don't see a mass exodus from those regions of the country.

Grow up and get a life before you judge someone elses.

Speaking of moronic, that has to be the stupidest question I've ever heard in my life. So if a huge earthquake hits LA or San Francisco and kills hundreds of people, then they're idiots to live in an earthquake zone. And all those people in Indonesia who died in that tsunami were idiots to live near a beach. And when Mt. Olympus blows its stack in Washington State, the people in Seattle are stupid to live there. And, lest we forget, New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts all get sideswiped by hurricanes, so I guess people are idiots to live there, too, along with the people in the upper midwest who freeze to death in blizzards and the people in Arizona and Nevada who suffer from drought.

Now, you smug halfwit, what corner of the country are you from?

No. It's a personal choice. And accidents happen. You can't choose your fate.

Oh... and people who live there or move there aren't idiots. It's as likely of a place for natural disasters as anywhere else.

My parents made me move here so i dont think it is my fault, but you already pointed that out. lived here for over 10 years now and have never experienced a tornado (a little dissapointed about that, really) so that is probably what most of the people who move here think will happen, absolutly nothing.

Well, its sort of hard to say ..... they HAVE to know that it is dangerous to live there, but yet they still go ..... So, I feel sorry for them if thats the only place they can afford to live, but if not, no I do not. They know the risks of living in that area.

Hey, sh!t happens! If they're smart then they'd have a bunker or something and keep all their prized belongings down there.
