I agree with campbelp2... that Astronomy Picture Of The Day (apod) is the best site to view astronomy pictures (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html). They take the best picture from a number of telescopes and satellites (such as the Hubble telescope) and include an explaination of what you are looking at. There is a new picture every day and an archive of past pictures you can look through under "Discover the cosmos."
