I don't think you are meant to no. Your skin goes into shock and affects the baby I think.
Something like that anyway.

Some, but not all, studies have shown a few of the chemical compounds in hair dyes to be teratogenic (meaning they can cause birth defects). However, in many cases, the animals were exposed to extremely high doses of these chemicals, doses that far exceed the amount a woman would receive from coloring her hair every month or two. Clearly, the chemicals in both permanent and semi-permanent hair dyes are not highly toxic. However, no one knows for sure whether low-level exposures are risky.
I guess it is ok to color.

Some say yes, some say no. I did, and it was fine. Sometimes in some people...depending on their hormones, the color won't take to your hair like its suppose to. My sisters hair turned a greenish color for some reason, but she dyed her hair alot too. Check with your doctor, s/he may tell you otherwise. There also may be some particular brand you can use. Something where the chemical intake isnt so bad, but I wouldnt think the fumes would harm the baby unless you yourself had some kind of allergic reaction.

There is no reason for you not to colour your hair, i've been having highlights put in all through my pregnancy. It does not harm the baby, but it can damage your hair if not done properly, go to the hairdressers and get them to do it.

at the starting up, i'd pick to remark that i imagine its astounding that you're finding out earlier you do it. one of those huge quantity of moms do in simple terms issues without pondering effects to their baby. i'm a Nursing student and would vouch for the beauticians who imagine its no longer a reliable theory. We discovered in college that hair dye, tanning beds, and tattoos are not to any extent further cautioned and could be risky. regardless of in case you probably did not say you've been pregnant ( i'm assuming ) yet if you find yourself- reliable-success and congrats!

im a hairdresser and id advise you not to as your hormones are all over the place and during your pregnancy, your hair will change, growing thicker and after the birth will thin again, also baby takes your nutrients so your hair could become brittle. also im some bleaching/colouring products, there are agents that can make you unwell and the baby as you are so much more sensitive. i waited until 6months after birth and its worked for me. invest in a good conditioner. good luck x x

My Dr said its fine to do foil highlights...and the fact that you cant color your hair while pregnant is an urban legend. Ive also heard other people say their Drs told them to wait until the 2nd trimester. So I guess its all a matter of opinion and how you feel about it. Do whatever you are comfortable with :)

I think that if you feel concerned enough to ask about it you shouldn't do it. If you dye your hair and then read an article claiming it is not recommended during pregnancy you will just cause yourself unnecessary stress & worrying.

. Bleaching or dying your hair will not affect your unborn baby. However, many women like to completely avoid any contact with chemicals during their pregnancy and for this reason avoid dying their hair
