A, C, and D are all impenetrable barriers. In order for something to penetrate the blood brain barrier, it has to be lipid soluble, and smaller than 500 u. While I don't think the strainer is a great example, because it doesn't address solubility of substances crossing the barrier, it's the best aswer you have.

So, the answer is B

Pasta collander. You might not think so from some of what you find on this site, but ordinarily the BBB lets through things like oxygen and glucose pretty darned freely.
